Each strand of rush grass is thick, with a thick surface skin and fine fibers, resulting in outstanding elasticity and durability. Rush grass is a natural air purifier and humidity regulator. It does not soil easily and will turn a golden color with use, giving it character. Elasticity has been prioritized for the core material, which is made from 15 mm-thick hard cotton padding processed with Aomori cypress. The cypress contains hinokitiol, a natural substance with exceptionally strong anti-bacterial properties (antibacterial and deodorizing effects).
