Classic Smoked Lapsang Souchong “Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong” Classic Lapsang Souchong Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong Black Tea – traditional dry pine wood fire smoke-dried “Bohea” black tea of highest (“nonpareil”) quality grade. The Chen family tends a number of Wuyishan tea gardens that have been in their possession for 3 generations now. Our Classic Lapsang Souchong comes from their Bohea tea garden near the village of Tong Mu. It produces a bright red tea liquor with a unique taste pattern, composing of a finely balanced, harmonious combination of the mild, but rich black tea basis and the artisan smoke-drying process. 2. Wuyi Floral Lapsang The term “Lapsang Tea” refers to black teas from Wuyishan’s “zhengshan” area. Our Floral Lapsang Black Tea is a handpicked, manually processed artisan tea growing right in the heart of there. With earliest sources of dating back to the 16th century, Lapsang black tea is among the world’s oldest black teas. The tea is picked in spring, with a 1 bud 1 leaf picking standard. In terms of taste, what makes this tea unique is the harmonious combination of dominant floral notes with spicy roast flavors and the typical mineral base of Wuyishan. 3. Wuyi Fruity Lapsang “Fruity Lapsang” is a handpicked, manually processed black tea from a tea garden right in the heart of Wuyishan. Picked in spring each year at a 1 1 picking standard, it comes from 60 years old, virtually wild-growing tea plants of the Wuyi Cai Cha or Qizhong cultivar. In terms of taste, it appeals with a unique combination of fruity-fresh notes with spicy roast aromes and the broad mineral basis that is characteristic for Wuyi’s “zhengyan” teas. 4. Wild Artisan Lapsang Souchong Unsmoked Lapsang Souchong from naturally grown Bohea tea bushes at 1400 meters altitude in Wuyi Mountain, Fujian, China. A specialty of the health and environment-friendly producer, Wuyi Mountain Farmers Collective, is the artisan processing of wild pickings. These draw on Wuyishan’s remaining wild or semi-wild areas, where tea bushes are embeded in natural biodiverse habitats. 5. Jin Jun Mei “Golden Exyebrows” Zhengshan Jin Jun Mei Golden Eyebrows is a pure spring bud black tea from the “zhengshan” area of Wuyishan, Fujian Province, China. The fresh scent of the tea already gives an idea of its high sweetness and the spicy aroma of ripe summer fruits (longan). The full-bodied taste of the bright red infusion consists of a multifaceted complex of spicy-sweet and chocolaty-fruity flavors. The intensely fruity aftertaste still lingers on the gourmet’s palate even long after drinking.
