The tea surprises with unique orchid aroma and unusually creamy texture. 2. Ming Feng Shan Gushu Sheng Pu Erh Tea Ming Feng Shan Gushu Sheng Pu Erh Tea is an unripened Pu Erh Tea from Ming Feng Shan tea mountain in Yunnan’s Lincan district. There, the traditionally “bing”-pressed tea tea comes from an ancient tea garden with 150-400 years old tea trees. In terms of taste, a roundelay of light fruity-fresh top notes elevates the complex, exceptionally balanced and mild mineral-earthy basis significantly from the mass of unripened Pu Erh teas. 3. Lincang Shou Pu Erh Tea Mengding Ganlu from Mengding Shan, Ya’ An, Sichuan, is considered to have been the first cultivated tea ever. Because of its exclusive picking specifications, picking is limited to a few days in early spring only. Tea connoisseurs consider this tea from the peaks of Mount Mengshan one of the most exquisite Chinese green teas. The tea’s wealth of flavors unfolds from the tip of the tongue across all spheres of the gum. At this, the perception of spring-like freshness changes to a complex spectrum of floral notes to mild and sweet chestnuts in the long lingering finish. 4. Wokan Shan Gon Ting Shou Pu Erh Tea Wokan Shan “Gong Ting” Bing Cha Shou Pu Erh tea is a ripened tea from Yunnan’s Pu Erh district. The seed-grown trees thrive in a biodiverse tea garden with a strictly pesticide-free cultivation approach at 1650m. As a “Pu Erh Tea”, the “bing” (= “cake”) pressed tea falls into the “dark tea” (=”hei cha”) processing category. It owes its intensively sweet taste of dried dates and dark chocolate to the category’s characteristic processing step of “wet-piling”. 5. Fuzhuan Cha Fuzhuan Cha is a dark tea from Anhua County in southern China’s Hunan Province. As such, it is a post-fermenting “Hei Cha” made from the leaves of local large-leaved tea tree varieties using the ancient method of dark tea processing. A specialty of Fuzhuan Cha is the “inoculation” of the probiotic mushroom “Eurotium Cristatum” in the characteristic, loosely pressed tea brick. In terms of taste, grainy sweetness harmonizes with the characteristic Hei-Cha note, reminiscent of leather, in a silky texture. 6. Liu Bao Cha Liu Bao Cha is a dark tea from the southern Chinese province of Guangxi. Here, the local “hei cha” typically stored in a woven bamboo basket for ripening, looks back on a millennium-old tradition. he dry leaf material exudes a pleasant fragrance reminiscent of old, well-seasoned mahogany. This combines harmoniously with the coffee and cocoa notes, from which the tea has its nickname “dark chocolate”, in the taste of the full-bodied infusion, which is characterized by a soft, silky-creamy consistency.     For more information about ripened (“sheng”) and unripened Pu Erh / Hei Cha teas follow the link below: Lesson 8/8 : Dark Tea / Pu Erh Tea Processing Related
