Beschreibung HERKUNFT UND ERNTEZEIT Fujian, Mt. Wuyi, China, This 2025 harvest has been newly sourced and released in 2026 March CHARAKTER The Eight Immortals oolong is a rare and highly valued subtype of Wuyi roasted oolong teas. It is exceptionally rich in aroma and fragrance, offering not only the characteristic charcoal-roasted and toasty notes of the style, but also a remarkably layered, thought-provoking, and substantial infusion. Tasting it is a moving and unforgettable experience. The charcoal-driven bitterness that develops through roasting is complemented here by notes of dried sour cherry, apricot, and ripe fruit. The underlying sweetness of the oxidized leaves unfolds with each infusion, becoming warmer and more soothing with successive brews. As a result, the tea’s complexity and mature character feel less intense or overwhelming, and more deeply impressive and captivating. The tea’s dense flavor is shaped by a balance of contrasting taste poles: bitterness, sweetness, dryness, and a gently astringent edge. The first impression is a vivid interplay of roasted and fruity notes, with intense aromas. This is followed by a calming, warming sweetness, unfolding into dried fruit nuances, sour cherry and raisin, alongside caramelized tones. Deeper layers reveal cinnamon-like spice and warm, and this aromatic complexity, gradually guiding the experience from the pleasant toward something more reflective and engaging.
