The American Chesterton Society held its 32nd annual conference August 1-3 at Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts. The theme of the conference was “Education, Economics and Everything Else.” A highlight of the conference was be the premiere of Kevin O’Brien and Theatre of the Word’s dramatic rendition of “Socrates Meets Jesus,” a play based on the book by Dr. Peter Kreeft. This performance examines what happens to Socrates when he comes back to life, goes to college, and starts learning about Jesus in modern times. Speakers included Dale Ahlquist, Joseph Pearce, Dr. William E. Fahey, and a keynote address delivered by Dr. Peter Kreeft.
