Details DESCRIPTION: A Shang Yuan () teapot in Meng Chen (‘old style’ imitation), made with fine Lao Zhu Ni clay; this is a fully hand-made purple sand teapot from Huang Dan Studio in Yixing. This handmade teapot by Huang Dan is exquisitely handcrafted with sophisticated workmanship. The body has a moderate thickness, a small spout, a strong handle, a tight and practical single-hole outlet that pours water smoothly, and an overall well-coordinated body shape that is proportional on all sides. MATERIAL: Original color Lao Zhu Ni from Huanglongshan mine; at first sight, this particular clay is not eye-catching in its original mud color, though, with proper kiln firing, the clay has the ability to capture the high aromas of any tea, while adding its own charm during the process of brewing and seasoning. The clay certainly adds its own refreshing flavor to the tea. CHARACTERISTICS: Huanglongshan aged Lao Zhu Ni vermillion clay feels soft, clear, and slightly sandy to the touch. The color of the clay will change to a moderately bright color when humidity is introduced. When filled with hot water, the clay color will transform to an alluringly glossy vermillion red. Lao Zhu Ni truly is a wonderful clay to behold. CAPACITY: 95 ml, single-hole filter (comes with Taiwanese stainless steel filter) INSCRIPTION: “Bai Yu Shan Ju – Meng Chen”. Allow 3-4 business days for order fulfillment. Delivery time is approximately 15-30 days via EMS standard courier service (EUB).
